There seem to be two kinds of parents in the world:

a) Those who worry whenever their child has a little sniffle, pump the kid full of medication for the tiniest little ailments and freak out about the proximity of animals or over a little dirty, and
b) those who let their kids run around like crazy, getting into all sorts of trouble and pretty much do anything they want short of jumping out the window.
1. If you're a parent, which type do you resemble the most?
2. If you're not a parent, which type do you think you'd resemble the most if you had children?
3. What do you think about these two types of parent and how do you think it affects the kids?

I let mine run riot, well I don't let them, they just do. My 7 year old has Ausism, ADHD and suspected Dyspraxia so he can be a handfull and the little one, 3 years is learning from him but although he has boundless energy can bwe corrected and seems better with some things already, bless him.

hmmm..im apparently not a parent but maybe i'll choose the first one. the reason is a child knows nothing but messing up things..hahaha..not really actually, but as a parent i have to protect my children for anything harmful stuffs and letting them out for things they dont even know what it is and what it is for is a little bit too dangerous.
Anyway, which one would u choose, pal? :)

What do you mean "aparently"? HAHA! ;)
If I had kids, I know I'd lean towards the first one, because I worry too much about what can go wrong! My imagination runs wild when I'm expecting someone and they're late, "did something happen?? Are they OK??". Sometimes I find myself trying to solve problems before they've even happened! So I'd probably be the first kind in a lot of situations.

It's meant to be stereotypical :)
I know people on both extremes, so they aren't completely untrue. I do realize a lot of people fall somewhere in the middle, but all parents display certain tendencies that fall into the first or the second category.
I don't have kids and I don't plan on having any kids BTW.
