I like the older In flames stuff better, I still like the newer stuff, but the older seems to have more attack.

i agree with you over there whole heartedly.whatever anybody tells me but moonshield will always remain a classic song for me from the jester race.but i do like to listen to the newer albums once in a while, does help relieve some stress i have going.i like all their classic albums and lunar strain was also good but the new albums has elements of hard rock and not metal.they should probably change that.

i wish they haven't changed even a single bit.. my favorite album was the jester's race. it seems that they have lost their character... too bad. :(
after hearing the song "the quiet place", i was so disappointed.

I believe all their albums have good and bad points. I don't mind Come Clarity or Soundtrack to your escape at all, whatever people say. I like all the older albums from Jester Race onwards. Lunar Strain didn't really hit it for me - maybe because Anders is not there.

im going to have to swing both ways. the old stuff was more raw and a lot more brutal but they really did a good job with blending in with more of the contemporary groups these days.

I personally think it's a combination of both. Some of their newer stuff does fail to meet the standards of some of their older music, but indefinitely, they are still my favorite band for the simple reason: They rock.
So, which album is my favorite? Probably Reroute, but I like them all pretty equally, minus their really, really old stuff.
