Have you ever been camping? Any stories to tell???

My family went camping one time to Nigaria Falls (sp). I didn't care for it didn't like sleeping in sleeping bags, a tent and to many people in the area we were in.. My mother took to many things, didn't want to cook, and said she just wasn't made to camp. God Bless

One time when I went camping I was 5 months pregnant and we went with the boyscouts, well they played a prank on me while I was sleeping and decided to tie the zippers shut outside. Came early morning when it was soo cold I had to pee really bad and couldn't get the door open. I almost cried and almost wet my pants. I found a cup though...I think you can figure out the rest-RELIEF!

We loved camping until our daughter escaped rom the tent. We haven't been game but we are going to try again this Xmas. We camping at the beach and love cooking out, and we can see the kids and we don't have to worry where they are.

yes we all went camping my kids and my husband with my husbands family which we have katie which is a special baby and needs special care well everybody else went fishing alnight and swimming and all i took care of katie which was ok but she had to have three fans on her all the time plus at that time she had direa and wasnt feeling the best so it was harder for me than being at home but everybody else had fun and katie did get to go on a boat ride and got to go swimming so watching everybody else have fun was worth it

Isn't it interesting to find older posts from friends? lol Yes I have been camping. I went with my sister this one time. I knew it was going to be interesting. She had brought a large pickle bucket. And a toilet seat. It was our make shift potty! Needless to say, that time, not the best trip.

i enjoyed sitting by the fire but not the darkness of trying to sleep inside a tent or camper. i cant sleep without some small light. i kind of hate it. mostly because my second husband loved to do it once every 3 or 4 weeks and FORCE me to go with him. meaning if i didnt feel like it he would kick my booty until i got into the car or truck.

YES i LOVE CAMPING

Yes I've been camping. The most memorable thing that happened on a camping trip is that the zipper on our tent broke which would allow any creepy crawler to join us in the tent. Luckily, nothing bothered us and although it wasn't funny at the time, I laugh about it now.

Ohh yes, I've been camping since I was a tiny baby. My mom used to tell me stories about being worried about us wandering off into the woods somewhere. I generally like camping as long as there aren't any other people around. I've found that unless you have a camper, it's really hard camping in a campground with other people. It is so noisy! When you are camping in a tent, you can hear everything and everybody. It's not fun, then. Luckily, out in our deserts, you can camp anywhere, not necessarily in a campground and it's nice to be out by yourself.

I've only gone camping twice in my life. Once with my dad and sister, the other time as a brownie. I don't remember much of either with it being over 25 years ago LOL, but I do recall that there was a restroom when I went camping with my dad, so I didn't have to use the ground. I also remember trying to catch a squirrel with a crate and a string, but it was too quick for me. LOL Happy mylotting!

I like camping very much and when I was younger 2-3 years back, I would always be in Outward Bound camps with my friends and all and I love building my life up from there. The strategies' games, the group work and all that; really motivates me into thinking. Another fun camping activity that I like would just to 'chill' by the beach with friends too. And enjoy swimming and snorkeling with them, and at night set up campfire by the sea and to hear and tell one another ghost stories. That would be awesome. I like that. It's been awhile since I've done that; maybe I should do it one of these days.

I was trying to remember if I ever had a camping. But I could not trace such a moment in my life. Still, I remember a trip to the local site seeing when we all the college students made our Camp Fire in front of a Historical Monument. It was realy wonderful to have a number of small groups around us.

Hi! During school years, I loved to go camping, but now I will think twice and consider the location first before I pack all my camping gear! There was nothing really bad happen, but as I am getting older, I guess I am very sensitive to my surroundings. Anyway, there was one time when I was 16 and we were camping on the school ground. It was actually organized by the Scouts and we were their invited guests. We were all girls and we shared a spacious camp. We could not sleep well during that night because we could hear like 'something' was walking very fast around our camp until dawn. When we told the Scouts on the following day, they said they would only do their normal rounding every hour on rotation basis. It was pretty scary, and just telling you this my hair stood! There was another incident happened in the following nights that all of us have decided to sleep inside the classroom instead.
