I have three black cats

They also brought a deepening suspicion of anything deemed of the devil. Comprised of Englanders and Europeans, these pilgrims were a deeply suspicious group. They viewed the black cat as a companion, or a familiar to witches. Anyone caught with a black cat ould be severely punished or even killed. They viewed the black cat as part demon and part sorcery. When the Christians gained a foothold in America they also propelled this myth forward, during a time when witches were coming into fruition in America. haring a sisterhood with witches in England, and rumored to use black cats as an integral part of their craft. Personally I don't think you should be concerned with another's opinion! Do you think they're bad luck? Of course not! Or you wouldn't have them!

I love cat's and black would be my ideal colour for a cat. I do not believe that they bring bad luck. I think that is just a silly old wive's tale.

NONSENSE!! In many parts of the world, black cats are considered very lucky. In Great Britian if a bride sees a black cat on her wedding day her marriage will be happy. In many other places they are also considered lucky. I have 4 black cats, they haven't cause me bad luck - I had bad luck long before I ever had a black cat!

We have 2 black cats. I don't think they bring harm or luck. I think they are just black cats.

Reall good discussion. I want to explain you my best answer. I don't believe that blak cat is bad for lucky or unlucky too. The cat is a good and happy animal. We don't believe in these "people say". It is a wives tale told by old woman that had nothing better to do then start rumors to scare children. There are no such things as bad luck caused by a loving animal just because of the color of their fur. Best wishes

I've heard both sides. Black cats are bad luck/black cats are good luck. I really don't think it matters. I love cats in all colors.

Hi, I have 2 cats both Tabbies well kittens 10mnths old.I think black cats are lucky.I was on council list and had viewed many places that were not suitable.I applied 4 yet another 1 and when I walked to the property a black cat crossed my path.I have been in this lovely place 4 yrs and put it down 2 the luck of the black cat.Lisa
