Should Ex-Cons Have The Right To Vote?

I say yes. They have paid enough when they are released from jail. If they need to pay more they should not have been released. Being able to vote will make them feel more like members of society and possibly encourage them to not get in trouble with the law again. Heck, they might get so involved in politics that they won't have time to get in trouble again. Plus, the US Constitution guarantees "no taxation without representation". That means that ex-cons who pay taxes ought to be able to use their votes to elect people to represent them. They are not really represented if they have no part in electing officials to represent them. So, in order for the government to abide by the Constitution the government should either start allowing ex-cons to vote upon release from prison, stop taxing them, or revoke their US citizenship so that the Constitution no longer affects them.

I don't see why ex-cons shouldn't have the right to vote.
Ex-con or no ex-con, they are still citizens of the country.
Just a quick question 'cause I'm not a US citizen, do ex-cons have the right to vote in the US?
