Has anyone ever had this done to them. This year the Department of Education took our federal taxes. They took 4,900 dollars to go towards my husbands student loans. I don't mind that they took them but I don't think they should of taken my child tax credit. That money was for my kids. The good news is that buy next year we should not owe them anymore. I'm still waiting to see if they take my state taxes also. I hope not we need a new muffler really bad. hopefully we can make it without our taxes. We usually use them to catch up on winter bills. If you have had your taxes offset what did you feel like.
