Ebay Banning Sales Of Online Gaming Items...

Has anyone else had a problem with this lately? I had my own store on ebay for the past year or so now selling virtual items from the online game Guild Wars. It was a fairly good income too! I was very careful to always put a disclaimer at the bottom of the auctions stating that all these items remained the sole intellectual property of the creators and that they were actually paying for the time and effort it took to get the items. But even so, Ebay has now decided to start cancelling all auctions such as mine and any others that deal with online virtual items from games, and they just sent an email out saying that they will be banning the listing of such items from now on. I suppose I can understand their point in a way, disclaimers or not, but at the same time it's rather frustrating to be one of these many people that were making a decent part-time income off of playing a video game. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

no i dont sell gw items but cammon.. your SELLING the items and you only say that its properety of game just so you think they idiots and you go sell it btw this also happens with runescape when people want to sell their accounts they say selling a joke wich comes with a free runescape account i mean someone aged 10 realises that your making a bid on the ACCOUNT not the JOKE

Not really, we're SELLING the time and effort it took us to get those items. You can't actually SELL an item that you can't put in a box and ship to someone.

Thanks :) I wasn't making nearly as much money as other people on there so I mostly feel bad for them. A few people on there were bringing in a few hundred dollars a week! Ah well, it was fun while it lasted, at least now I'll be able to just play the game to play and not really work. And I've found other things to do online to make money anyway (like on here!).

They suspended you?!? Wow, they didn't go that far in my case. I think that's pretty unreasonable of them to suspend you, especially since it's a brand new policy that they JUST decided to put into play. What sort of things were you selling if you don't mind me asking?
