These two individauls are the reasons why we are here. They are our Parents.Because of their love and affection they have created a genuine individual(YOU). Most of us would tend to do all the things just to make our parents happy and in a way we tend to return back the favor of taking care when they are old. But if put to the test of saving sombebody in a certain situation. Who would you chose? Your Mother? or your Father?

At one stage I was so angry with both of them that I wanted to tie them up by their feet and hang them both upside down from the tallest tree in Timbuktoo! These were my feelings when they split up, several years ago. My father cowered from my anger and made himself scarce while I sorted myself out (I was only a teenager). My mother however met my anger with love and compassion. She never reproached me for being angry but just kept on being her loving self. She is tuned to me and my needs and circumstances and she unfailingly supports me without reproach or being judgemental. I have never discussed this with her - but she just seems to love me. PERIOD. If it is a question of saving just one of the two parents, I would make sure I would save my mother. (Though I would grieve for my father thereafter, because I love him too).

My mom for sure! she was always there for me and i love her very much. she is the only one that is still there for me and loved me no matter what stupid thing i'd done as a teenager.

Oh this would be a bit hard to choose which one I would favour my mother, as my mother is the one that gave birth to me and was there for the majority of the time while I grew up and doing all those mandene jobs that my mother had to do.

For me it is both because that is what makes you a whole individual but if the situation arises, an individual needs his/her mother more specially if you are still young. That's why the mother always wins in custody if the child is still below 18 unless the mother is uncapable of taking care of her children.
