I've seen that episode and I thought it was hilarious! I can't believe they banned it! I can see how maybe some Jewish people would find it offense but I think they should also have more of a sense of humor. I mean after all, there are many other episodes that have racial and religious jokes and those aren't being banned. Not to mention all the other shows on tv that do the same thing, like South Park for instance, and they're still on tv. I think people just need to learn how to switch the channel if they find something offensive.

They still show the episode, but they have edited it from the first version. In addition to all the stereotypical garbage that is still in it, in the original version when Peter sings he complains that the Jews "killed our Lord."
I found that to be historically accurate and the rest of it to be funny, but I'm not the one it was making fun of...and I have to agree that if it were another minority, they would have been protected, so why would it be okay to make fun of the Jewish people?
Yes, South Park gets away with it, but South Park is an equal opportunity mocker. Family Guy usually doesn't attack people based on race or religion and therefore it was inappropriate.

I have watch this episode i downloaded it on a forum. It wasnt that bad,i guess the reason they banned it because they were talking about some religion.I have watched a clip too that was not shown in tv about bin laden and stewie in the airport. That was really funny.

I have seen that episode so many times on tv. I didn't know it was banned. Actually, I don't think it is banned in New York unless this is a new band. I saw it a few weeks ago so I don't know. It doesn't seem bad to me either. The makers of the show make fun of all sorts of things and races. Anybody that takes it offensively is just crazy.

I remember this one. I disn't know that it was banned but then again I download this show using bit torrent so it is available if people want to see it. I don't remember being offended by it at all. I suppose that it was quite stereotypical in a way but no more than the way they treat any other subjects on the show.

the only reason why it was banned was because they made fun if the jewish religion way to much and someone complained to the point where they banned it. i am not prejudice but it is a pretty funny episode

yea i got it on dvd aswell, however i did watch it on tv b4, it was like a x-mas special but yea, i watched the bouns features on the dvd and seth macfarlane said himself that he found it to be a bit too much (offensive) but they producers was still gunna put it on television, but changed their minds afterwards, but i can see why they banned them from airing it. it was very sterotypical, offensive to jews, the kind of offensive where it isn't funny just down right rude, and seen this b4 they aired it and saved themselves probably alot of hate mail, so they added it to the volume 2 boxset.

yeah i seen it got it on dvd its bloody stupid banning something because it makes comments about jews theres alot worse things on tv then that and nothing is said about it its a adult cartoon so whats the problem in making adult humour.
