I was introduced to hunting by hunting squirrels. My dad was by myside and taught me to be still, quite, and look for sign of this game, like water and feed trees or cuttings. Game was plentiful and action constant which kept my interest. But what i learned hunting these tree rats i have used to hunt all other game.

Squirrel hunting is great to get kids into hunting and to do if your bored and want to be outdoors with some friends. I would personally rather hunt pheasants, ducks, or whitetail. But shooting some squirrels every once and a while is fun.

I totally agree, squirrels are fun and yet give a challenge to hunt. Keep promoting to hunt these critters and it is a nice, safe hunt to introduce new hunters to our sport.

My hubby & brother in law still like to go squirrel hunting, among other game lol. Which way do you like them prepared? My guys usually eat them fried or squirrel & dumplings. I just uploaded a photo from the last hunt. These were fried. Yum :D
