I suffered from chicken fox when i am still in my junior high school. I've been on a bed rest for a week and feeling so bad during those days. I just take paracetamol for my fever and let the virus go away after. I got some dots but after few weeks it runs-off and back to normal skin.

This is a nightmare!!! I'm already 31 years old, never had chickenpox when I was youg and now I have it. I'm still on my third day of having this disease and I'm really scared of what will happen to me or what will I look like after this.I never really imagine myself having this at my age.

I feel sorry for you. Having chicken pox as an adult is miserable! Chicken pox is a virus, which means that there is no cure. You have to wait it out until the virus resolves, which usually takes 10 days to 2 weeks. Take tylenol or acetomonophen for fever, get plenty of rest and fluids, and try soaking in a lukewarm bath with oatmeal added to it several times a day- this helps to soothe the itching and helps the lesions to heal. You can put calamine lotion on the sores to help them stop itching and take benadryl allergy pills for itching (if you're not in the U.S. ask the pharmacist what will work). Try not to touch the lesions. You are contagious and can spread the virus as long as you have open sores. It is very important that you do not have ANY contact with anyone who has HIV/AIDS, cancer, or very young babies. Hope you feel better real soon!

No, I haven't suffered from it yet. But when my sister had it, my mother told her not to scratch that round thing. I think bed-rest will do for you. And also don't forget to drink much water and take your medicines regularly.
