I agree. I only use cash when I am buying anything. Me and my partner set ourselves a food budget every month and I also set myself a spending budget, once the money's gone it's gone and I have to wait until the next month before I can buy anything else. Thankfully my Mum taught me about spending money wisely when I was younger so I think we've got a pretty good saving/spending system set up. I do use my credit card if i'm purchasing anything online though, because my credit card offers protection in case the item never turns up.

i agree. credit cash enhances our purchasing power but it only makes people buy and buy everything they like, even if these are not really need. having cash as our only means of spending is a wiser way to control our spending and buy those that we really need the most. =)

I think that's a great idea. The idea of credit, of spending money you do not have, to me is unethical. Mostly I use debit, but I also have a MasterCard, but not one with credit. It works the same as a credit card but takes the money directly out of my checking account, so I have to have the money before I can spend it.

Absolutely CASH. I got into trouble in the past my maxing out a credit card and not being able to pay the balance in full at the end of the month. I too now have a VISA debit card, which allows me to spend my own money at all places that except credit cards. It's great for the internet too. Society at the moment is pushing credit, credit, credit. here in Australia car, furniture and electical sales companies are pushing Interest Free Credit, Buy Now Pay Later. Society wants us to get further and further into debt. By paying cash for the things you need, it's harder to get caught up with buying luxuries that are not necessary. I mean, does it REALLY make sense to go into debt, just so that you can show off a new plasma TV screen to your friends? Stick to a budget, pay cash and sleep well at night. GOD bless

Credit cards are nice to have in case of emergencies or a vacation but you have to be very careful not to run them up over the limit or make sure you make more than the minum payment so you don't get over charged or have to go to a credit councler to get your credit straightened out.....So using cash is the best way to do it....
