Now that people are starting to throw their name in the hat, I was wondering what your hopes are for the next person elected to the office of President of the USA. You don't have to say who it is you want to win (it's too early to know that I think)... What is it though that you hope that they are able to lead the United States to accomplish?
What do you think will be the most pressing issues for the next President and how would you like to see them resolved?
I would be interested in hearing the opinions of people who are not citizens of the US also, considering some of these issues may impact other nations/peoples.

The next president must have a strong commitment and a plan to get this mess in the Middle East under control. I don't know who has the best ideas just yet, but I know that needs to be a priority. It isn't just the Iraq problem, which likely is going to be a long battle, but also Iran and a few other countries in that neck of the world.
The next preident also must have strong domestic policies. Social Security, Immigration, and the problem with our schools are just a few that come to mind quickly.
It certainly is going to be an interesting time in American politics for the next couple of years.

I agree that the Middle East could potentially be an issue for the US. Immigration and Social Security are also going to be hot button issues. With Obama pressing the issue of universal healthcare, that surely will get lots of discussion time...
