My definition of a 'smart' person is one who pursues learning beyond what they must memorize to graduate high school. A person who desires to learn for the sake of learning is a smart person.
I fit those criteria, and therefore I feel that I am smart- never smart anough, never finished, but smart.

I would say that a smart person is one who is knowledgeable but also able to put that knowledge to good use in an appropriate manner. Someone who has knowledge of nuclear physics and uses it to build nuclear bombs is not in my mind smart. Someone who has knowledge of nuclear physics and uses it to develop an affordable anf efficient means of creating power for all people is smart.

Being smart doesn't mean that you know everything, that you are so knowledgeable in everything.
I believe that being smart is your knowledge about life and how does it goes for you. On how you solve problem and think an easily way to make it up to.For me smart are the people who can handle things better even on a tough situation.Smart are explorer. Not all things are learn from school but all depends to students how they explore the lesson they absorb from teachers.
If you think it that way, i can say you are smart and like others, i am smart.

there are many perspectives about smart person..in my opinion smart people is someone who could absorb n understand something easily..besides,there are many of my frens which is not good in formal learning but is better in certain job such as cars n engines..so,we could not easily judge someone whether he/she it smart or not bcoz maybe he/she not good in education but do best in technical job..
