I usually have two partitions in my single hard drive. 30-40 percent of the hard disk space is dedicated to the operating system and program files. The rest is for documents and other files. I keep an image of the first partition (the one containing the OS and programs) in my documents partition. So that I can restore my OS and programs in times of crash or major virus/worm infection. Try it!
