guys , all the time we talk about marriage , life partners , live in relations and other relations . But have we ever thought of living single? is it very necessary to have a life partner? can a man/woman live on their own? is it necessary to lead a happy life that you should have a partner?

I think that humans are a species that need the company of others and to live and work in pairs or groups. One of the reasons that myLot is so successful is because it is based on the sense of need to belong to a community and have the interaction therin. I lived on my own for about 7 years after my divorce and there were times when i felt very, very lonely and needed the company of someone I loved. Even though I was going to work and socialising, there was no-one to come home to, no-one to share those specisl thoughts and feelings with, no-one to share the burden of life with. I am now married again and cannot face the thought of ever being single again, however I do understand that some people relish being on their own and not having to have the responsibility of being in a relationship, are they selfish when they are like that? I couldn't possibly answer that.

Thats an interesting point you have raised neilf, of people living without partners ..are they selfish or not? I guess selfish would be bit too harsh a word . I beleive that in most common cases , it is the circumstances which make the person live on their own ..i don't think most of em have made a choice to live on their own

I have known many people that are completely happy being single. Is marriage required for happiness, no. I was happy while I was single, and I am happy now, being married. While both lives had happiness there is a difference in that happiness. I now have someone to share it with, if I choose to share it with her.
