ok. WHAT IS THIS DAMNABLE OBSESSION!?!?! Why is everyone so hyper-focused on electing a woman? Why is gender being made so important? Have we as a country become so shallow and un-informed that we are more concerned with the novelty of having a woman in the whitehoue, rather than having a qualified PERSON, man or woman? MY GOD PEOPLE, this is a presidential election we are talking about not a junior high popularity contest. WAKE UP....look at the facts, the senatorial voting records, read where the candidates stand, decide what direction you want the counntry to go, GENDER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

THANK YOU!!!!! I am very afraid that this election will be turned into a three ring circus - either a woman for president, or a black person for president. First off, let me be clear that I am not against either option. HOWEVER, in a decision as important as an election for the next President of the United States, Race and/or Gender have no place in making a decision! This decision should be made based on the individual candidates beliefs, stance on the important issues, voting record, and their history. Whether or not they happen to be a woman (or happen to be black should the tables get turned) should have absolutely no bearings on the decision. However, I am concerned that this is exactly where the next election is heading.

What a shameful mess the war with Iraq is; I agree with you. But there is a big field of candidates out there. I will vote Democratic this year and probably for Hillary.

I think that after the mess George and his friends have created in this country does say we need new and fresh leadership. I believe that Hillary is an accomplished and intelligent woman and I would like to see that happen.

I think you are right on. I don't think we are ready for Obama, he's too inexperienced. But, Hillary, I think would make a good President. And, It's about time for a woman to hold that job.

Nope, I wont vote for women President anymore,Am pro women but after voting for Gloria Arroyo and seeing what has Philippines becomes in her presidency I guess its more nicer if we just vote for someone who is really capable and we must select President that is Pro people not just in the time of elections but through out the time.Besides Hillary will just continue his husband regime, and projects, and am sure Bush will surely be his adviser.

yes i would vote for Hillary if she won the nonimation for the Democratic party. Right now she is not my 1st choice I do think she is very intelligent and a strong person and also has experience. None of the Republican canidates interest me and I think we need a big change in the White House. Although it would be awesome to make history and have a woman for President of the United States, it is more important to vote for the candidate who's issue you agree with, support and can make improvements in health care, economy, international relations, Iraq, and our domestic needs.

I will not vote for her. To me it is very clear that she was not able to handle her very own marriage, how could she possibly handle this country?
