Just thought I would share my day as it was wonderfully relaxing. My family and I drove to an historic village and the national Rose garden. It was lovely walking through the old buildings just getting a feel of life a hundred years ago. The roses also were glorious. A perfect Sunday really. What sort of things did you do? Have you been to any historical sites etc?

A busy one. Got up, did the dishes, worked on reading emails, received 2 orders from my business, did 2 loads of laundry, went grocery shopping, made dinner, did the dishes again, read more emails, worked on my taxes a little. Now it is shower time and then I am sitting down to watch a Hallmark Movie with a hot cup of tea. Ahhhhhhh. I love Sundays! :) Yes, love historical sites but hard walking them too much these days. I wish I were young again (just a few years). LOL

That sounds wonderful, just the sort of way that I would love to spend my Sunday. I love to visit old castles and churches and even graveyards. It makes me wish for Summer was here. The day is nearly over now, and the weather is so darn cold here, so I didn't put my nose outside the door all day. I tidied a few things around the house, and I decided to try out a new breadmaker which I bought before Christmas. The bread is still cooking, so fingers crossed that it turns out ok. To-night, I will curl in front of the fire and watch tv and a couple of dvds.

I love freshly baked bread from a breadmaker. I have one but haven't cooked a loaf in about 6 months. Enjoy.

I couldn't make bread to save my life.. not even with a bread maker.. I seem to lack the baking gene. My grandmother on the other hand makes up for it. She brings me bread all the time. I couldn't imagine what life would be like without her homemade bread and cheeze whiz...

yum. I confess I'm not a great cook but breadmakers make it so easy these days that anyone can do it.

I'm glad you enjoyed your day. It's Monday here in Singapore and I had a patience testing day today. I had to wait for a student for almost 2 hours before she came home to have a piano lesson with me. It's been some time since my patience was stretched to such a limit but I'm glad I made it through without screaming my head off.

It sounds like you had a great day. I only got 4 hours of sleep Saturday night so I kind of spent Sunday in a daze. I did some cleaning around the hour and got the grocery shopping done. I accomplished alot even though I was tired.

My day yesterday was very nice though sad because my brother and his family went back to Texas, where they live. They were here for about a week as we had a big birthday party for my mom over the weekend and had family and friends from all over come. It was a good week overall but it was hard yesterday to say goodbye til next time. We went out to a nice restaurant in Philly before they left. We did see some historical sites there from the outside but did not get to go inside and look around.

I really enjoyed today. We took a hike this morning around the creek. Cooked out on the grill and after lunch we loaded up and went to my grand daughters big 3rd birthday party. It was alot of fun and I love visiting with friends and family. Following that party they went to dinner, but I was not interested so I came home and took the dogs for a walk. Ending the evening with a little time spent here on mylot.

Your day sounded devine to me. I went to church with my husband. It was awesome as always. And, you know the problems that we are going though right now, well I cannot tell you the out pouring of love and help that was given to us. They are our extended family. I have been to many historical sites, and always find them very enjoyable. Some places are the Alamo, in Texas, Paul Reveres grave in Mass. Olveria Street in Los Angeles, The granet face stone mountain in Atlanta, Georgia and many many more. All have wonderful history behind them.

Australia is such a young country (only discovered by white settlers in 1770) that our history is not nearly as old as US. Tasmania was first set up as a convict colony in the 18oo's so it is about as old as you get here. Where I used to live (Queensland) the buildings are fairly recent so it has been a wonderful experience for us to move here and discover our countries history. I love it. Glad to hear your friends are giving you comfort in this time. Things will work out for you soon I'm sure.

Today was really a restfull day for me. I have not been getting much sleep lately so my husband called and told me that he would be getting off of work early and that he would watch the kids so that I could catch up on some sleep. After we hung up I put their dinner in the oven and made them a pie for after dinner. Finished the laundry that I had already started and by that time he was home. I was not yet ready to lie down so went and took a nap. An hour later he was up from his and I was ready. I slept and slept for hours, when I got up they were almost all finished with dinner. I felt bad for him though because as soon as our girls saw me they started telling me all that he had done wrong. You know he gave them the wrong plates, cups, and had them sit at the wrong place. He is so good to me I hope that one day my girls learn to aprreciate him also.

I had a great day today. We had my mother and father in law over for dinner. And then we spent the afternoon with them. Of course they loved to spend time with our 4 month old son. He was really charming to his grandparents lol.

Wow! I've always dreamed of going into places like that with my family, unfortunately I have a little baby. Two months old and the doctor advice us to stay in our house since there are many sick people outside.

I live in the mountains of NC, so I was out and about in the snow and wind today. Ran some errands at walmart and went out to eat with a friend. I'm going to make some hot chocolate, because that's what this weather makes me feel like doing :)

I agree hot chocolate is the perfect companion to cold wet weather. It is summer in Australia at the moment so I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
