marking a best response answer and giving people + or - ratings

I havent ever marked an answer as a best response and ive never givin someone a + or - rating. am i the only one who doesnt do this? I think i dont mark a best response becuase im hoping i will get more than 4 replies to one of my discussions and i dont do the + or - well, because i never think about it really. anyone else like this?
