Nowadays a lot of remakes are being made..be it songs or movies..i agree that the stuff is getting a new and fresh twist but i feel that the original ones are better! Moreover what is the need for such remakes when people can try out new things??i mean..genuine things??Do u people think that the remakes are better??Or do u think that remakes should be encouraged?I think the only place where remakes can be encouraged is in discotheques(deejayin!!)

i agree with u but not fully.......im my view there is no harm in making a remake of something unless it is presented very purposefully..........n with diffrent imagination( like the new don which was modified to some extent but the basic storyline was same)
it's upto the ppl to watch these remakes or not........
it's upto us to make this remakes a hit or flop.....

I rarely like the remake of a song. In most cases I prefer the actual artist. That is the same reason why I prefer a dj at a wedding vs. a band.

What happens when someone remakes the original, which is most probably a hit, is that, people expect a lot deal more from the subsequent version. This puts immense pressure on the makers, most of times who succumb to it. Also, debates follow on each aspect of the two films. So that makes it hard for the remake find it's way. But some reasonably good remakes have been made, "Don" was one of them, I saw lately, except for the "King Khan" everything was great about the movie.

It all depends on a few things, yes many people beleave that the original is always the better, however i have heard a few remakes that were so much better or equaly good to the original, of course it all depends on how you look at it.I always try to do it with an open mind.

I think that most of the time, the original version is always better than the remake version. There are times though that some remake versions manage to put a fresh new spin on new material. Stuff like Johnny Cash's Hurt (original by Nine Inch Nails) or White Stripes' I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself (original by Burt Bacharach).

i think original is always better than any remakes.remakes are just modification of the original soundtrack.
