adopting a child from an orphanage.

my friend has been leading married life for 5 yrs,but she didnt have child yet .so she decided to adopt a child from an orphanage.but her husband dont want to do that,because he dont think that they can feel the child as their own child.
so my is very sad on this matter,she want to get agood decision frm me. can any one help me in this matter? what can i say to her?i dont have such situations . do u?

I have adopted and later gave birth. I can tell you from personal experience that I love them both the same. If your friend's husband really wants a child, he will love that child regardless of whether or not the child carries his genes...unless he is a very self-centered person who has to have everything his way. My husband, like me, was so glad to finally have a child after 10 years of marriage that the minute my husband held the baby, he fell in love with him. We have never once regretted our decision to adopt and would have done it again. We got close 5 more times but, unfortunately, it never worked out.
