What temperature do you set your thermostat in your home? During the winter we usually have it at about 70 degrees Fahrenheit at night and about 71 or so during the day. If we leave the house we put it down to 65 degrees. What about you?

We heat our home with a coal stove so we dont have a therostat. We also have a heat pump that will come on if it gets below 63. I use coal to heat and cook on in winter. Much cheaper than electic.

We don't. We use a wood stove here. Basically get it up to about 250 degrees and then let it heat the house.

We usually keep our heat at about 68 degrees. If you are cold throw on more clothes LOL At least that is the moto at our home. Tonight I did turn it up to 70 degrees as we are about to get dumped on with 3-4 inches of snow tonight and they say 9-13 inches tomorrow. Ugh I just hope the power stays on. Chilly tonight in Indiana

Well since I don't pay for my heat my landlord does I keep it anywhere I want. LOL If I get hot I turn it down to like 60-65 degrees and if we are cold or its really cold outside we jack it up to 80 only because we have a lot of cold drafts coming in everywhere and its hard to keep it warm enough in here for the kids. It always seems that their rooms dont get very warm either so when it was below zero outside I actually had it turned up to almost 90

I live in about 50 miles outside of Chicago and these past couple of weeks it has been really cold. Much colder than normal with horrible wind chills. Makes you not even want to leave the house. And now we are getting lots and lots of snow. I can't wait for spring. So with all of that said I usually keep my thermostat at 70 degress. I also have a humidifier on my furnance which makes the air seems a bit warmer. Anything to keep warm.
