Authentic all the way! I love the good authentic stuff. And it's so easy to get down here. I make some of my own, but I'm not that good with it. But I do have this awesome cookbook full of recipes that blend Asian and Mexican cuisine. It's really, really good. I'll have to show it to you at some point.

I ould definitely do for "authentic" Mexican ood. Not obly because I am hispanic (Puerto Rican), but because it has really good spices. Now, sometimes it is hard to make very healthy Mexican food. All the tacos, and ground meat usually are served with a lot of oil or meat fat. This is the problem. But I love Mexican food!

My favorite is TexMex. I could eat it every day. My favorite Mexican food restaurant is called El Paseo.

Definitely authentic mexican food! Much more flavor and I love the fresh salsa and warm chips that the authentic restaurants serve. I hate salsa that tastes like it came from a jar! Also the cheese dip is AWESOME!! I love jalapeno cheese dip! YUMMY!!!! Now, I'm going to have go have mexican food for dinner. LOL!

In my oppinion I would rather have authentic Mexican food, rather than the "Americanized" Taco Bell. However I love Mexican food, and will eat either of the two. When I have the choice I would way rather have the authentic Mexican.
I would love to eat the healthy foods all the time, but it is unrealistic for my lifestyle. So as much as I try to go for healthy, I usually end up with delicious greasy food.
A wonderful mexican resturaunt that is cheap and very good is Aldebertos and it's other resturaunts like it Carolinas and Rodregios.
I recomend this resturant to anyone if you have one near you.

Authentic is definately better. I live in MO now (prev. lived in SoCal) and we have a large Hispanic population so luckily we have 2 really good authentic Mexican places. There is one in town tho' that is always busy... so when we first moved here we went there. What a shock! It wasn't authentic at all (and it claims to be) - we were astounded. I think some people just don't know what "real" is. lol.
