Years ago we always had our newspaper delivered,
Then when i started work i would buy one each day on the way to work.
Now I don't bother, there's so much on the TV and online all the time I feel I don't need to buy one,

Do you still buy one each day — if so which one do you buy?

Oh no, no newspapers. One year, I got a subscription for me and hubby, and those darn things kept piling up on our front porch. It was madness, and I could never keep up. They went right from the porch to the recycling bin. The only paper I really wanted was the Sunday one for the coupons and now I don't really use coupons, so its just online news for me!

In the early nineties, I also subscribed to the daily paper and found it just piling up. It seemed I never have enough time to read each one everyday. I would scan through them reading headlines only. Rarely, did I ever read each section of the paper. But now, on Sundays, I do read each section, even though not every article. I find that the coupons only come in on SUndays, so why bother with everyday papers. You can always find out what's going on locally by watching a local news program.

My dad always has the Daily Mirror delivered every day and on a Sunday he has the People, News of The World and The Sunday post!! I buy the Daily Mirror every Saturday not for the paper but to get the free magazine which gives me the tv programmes for the week, I know I'm a cheapskate. The paper only brings more doom and gloom. I prefer the free paper we get each week, because that has jobs in and news which is local to my area. Ours is the Herald and I actually had my story published in the paper last week too! You can catch up with all the news as you said on the TV or on line.

I feel much the same as you. I usually watch the news on tv while I am having breakfast and again while I am having luch. I can get updates on my pc, so I feel buying a daily newpaper is a waste of money. My husband always buys a newspaper on Sundays as he doesn't spend much time on the computer.

I don't buy them anymore, our newspaper is free online now. So I just go their site and read the news there. I don't have to pick it out of the floor to toss that way. :-)

They are actually providing free newspapers where I reside. I guess because of the advent of the Internet providing news hot off the wire every minute, newspapers don't stand much of a chance. I won't be surprised if all newspapers would become free one day.

I usually just read news online. Most newspapers have online versions, and with being so busy, its a lot easier to just go on the internet when its easiest and most convinient for me.

I stopped buying newspapers when I was dumped out of work .. I used to have The Telegraph daily .. but as you say there is so much news on TV or the internet .. and any news in the papers is already 24 hours old when you get it .. so I prefer to get the latest news from TV and the various online newspaper web sites .. news as it happens when it happens !!

We used to have ours delievered everyday but I seemed to be the only one who was really reading them. My parents stopped the delivery when I went away to school. I don't want the news on tv but I usually check out the websites for those news channels everyday. The only paper I buy now is the Sunday paper (Houston Chronicle)

I get 95% of my news on the internet. The rest I hear mention of on chat shows and other television that I'm etither actively watching or that someone else in my family has on in the background. I've really never been a big fan of listening to the news until I got onto this site, lol.. now I love looking up wacky, fun news stories to post and talk about on here. ^_^ I've never bought a local newspaper unless there was an article about someone that i knew in it, that i can think of! *laugh* ^_^

I love reading, so I buy a lot of magazines and books every month. I don't buy newspapers, because I like reading them at the bar. I'm very busy, and I always have a lot to do, but every morning I find some tens of minutes and I go to a bar to take a croissant and a coffee. I sit down with a newspaper and start to read it. If there are other newspapers I take the others too. To me reading news every day is very important.
