Staying married

Hello How hard is it now-a-days to stay married? I'm fortunate to have been married this long and I'm grateful. I'm sure there are others who are married much longer then I. Everytime I mention how long it's been for me people always tell me I'm a success story. If so, how many more success story is there out there? Noella

i have been married 3 times, i was 19 the first time and it lasted 3yrs. i was way to young the 2nd time i was married 7 yrs. and this ,the 3rd time has lasted 30 yrs and still counting.

This is my second time around. I was very young the first time but it did last 7 years. With my second husband it will be 26 years and still counting. Noella

Mine is a success lol 24 years this year. It has not always been easy but we found that by talking about problems instead of getting cranky and yelling about them sorted things out quicker and with less stress. We love proving people wrong also. We got told that our marriage would only last about 2 years. I love seeing the peoples faces when they realise we are still together and happy.

Congragulations! It's not always easy keeping it together, but when you want it to work and you believe in your marriage and the love you share, then it's possible. Talk ia the best medicine. Noella

Yah, i agree with you. Considering the many pitfalls and stumbling blocks...staying married and in-love is one of the hardest thing to do...

We are coming up to 16 years of marriage, some are saying we are doing well. It doesn't feel that long. :D
