If all of your possessions were taken away, could you survive?

I have been told I am materialistic in which it is true. I love my things, but also if it were to be taken away and I had to go back to the basics to survive, I could. What things can you live without or not? If a pandemic like the bird flu occurred and doing business with other countries came to a halt, could you manage to survive? If so, how?
