13 year old with gall stones

My daughter was diagnosed with gallstones 2 weeks ago. I have spoken to a pediatric surgeon who tells me that her gallbladder must come out. She has a 1cm gallstone stuck in the neck of the gallbladder. unfortunately we have to wait a week to see him again and he said it may take a couple of weeks to schedule her for surgery. I accept this but would like to know what I can do in the mean time as she is having a lot of abdominal pain. We are trying to control her diet of non-fatty foods, but it seems whatever she eats upsets her tummy. Any suggestions?
