Does anybody save old calendars like me?

sad to say im no collector of anything of value...maybe its its what i am really....or maybe because i have no enough space in my house for those things...(calendars or anything)

I am into the habit of saving the more beautiful and colorful ones. They are unique in their own sense and the next will always give us a different set.

I'm more likely to recycle them by saving the pictures and doing something else with them, even if it's only for my step-mum to make cards or the boys to put on crafts. I have to save last years tho' as it has a record of all the abuse my neighbour has inflicted on my family.

I only save from the year before. And thats it. I am a throw awayer person. My husband is alway saying what did you do with so and so did you throw it out?

I do save some of the old calendars I have had! I find it as well interesting to look back at the things I may have liked at one point. Or I like looking at some of the pictures from the calendars because they we're rather cute or because they we're things that I had collected at one time. I as love looking back at some of things that I had used to write on my calendar each day or when there was an appointment I had to attend or a special occasion that I had to go to on that specific day. I as well sometimes will save pictures from my old calendars, & then sometimes I will put them on my wall. Or I have in the past framed the pictures from my old calendars just to decorate my room or keep out in general. I feel sometimes when looking back at the old calendars I have had or that I have kept that.. They we're kind of like a diary for me. I like looking at what I had jotted down on each day or on specific days. It's interesting to see what months I had a lot of things to do. And how other months it was more of a low key month or not much was written on the days regarding that month. I love to reflect on who I used to be, & who I am now. Sometimes you see so much of a growth. And how much you have changed over the last few years. I like keeping my old calendars for that reason as well! . . In conclusion, I find by saving some calendars that are from a long time ago.. Helps one to see who they used to be, & who they are now. To compare the changes that have occurred a long the way. But also it's nice to collect things such as this because in a way you can look back at these old calendars.. And see how nifty they may have been at that point in your life.. How important they we're to you.. I think sometimes it's a good thing that a person is able to look back at what they had saved.. You then have something to look back on.. And be proud of, but also you begin to realize that it was a good thing that you didn't end up just discarding it afterwards after all! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I think I have one or two old calendars around. Those however, are mostly calendars with really great pictures in them that I don't want to throw away. I have a calendar with my favorite band on it from about 9 years ago and I have a Harry Potter movie calendar with wonderful pictures that I can't bring myself to throw away.
