What did you think of the fact that the movie had so many fictional characters intertwined with the campaign of senator kennedy?I feel it potrayed more the positive feeling amongst people and portrayal of society in that age more than Senator Kennedy's life or assasination for that matter.

I hated this film. Too many actors, note nough plot, what little plot there was became diluted by too many sub-plots that went nowhere. The fiolm touches upon social inequality, bigotry and racism, either veiled or overt, with no real conclusion to them. I thought that there was not enough mention of Kennedy, and for the news footage that was included, he seemed to be more alive than all of the cast combined.

I did not think of it that deeply, but I have to agree with your assessment that there were way too many sub-plots and a waste of Anthony Hopkins in the movie.
