Are the Judges being more picky this season?

Does anyone think the Judges are being tough this season? I thought there were a few Auditions where the person sang really well but all the judges said "No". It seems that they are picking and choosing differently this season than past seasons. What do you think? Do have any favorites that you think should have made it through but didn't? I can't think of any off the top of my head, remind me please cause I know there were quite a few!

I think they are definetely being more picky this year. But, they are looking for the best, so maybe its good to be a bit more picky in the beginning instead of getting so many hopes up only to be sent home week 1.
There were quite a few that I think should have definetely made it through, and I felt like yelling at the judges, but honestly I cant think of any of their names right now.
