yes, I had them in the calf though but they do not occur during my sleep,(maybe I am a heavy sleeper) but I was prevented from going to sleep due to spasm of the calf muscle of my right leg. I tried all sorts of rememdy oitment rubs, counterpain ointment messaging and everything any one would suggest, but nothing seems to work. Then one day I tried this new natural pain and inflammation relief product and decided to give it a try. I am no longer in pain. It's been 2 weeks now and I have not has an attack..

I am glad you found relief! Someone said to eat a lot of bananas! I love bananas, so i think I will try to eat a lot more of them! Thank you very much for your reply! I always thought: An apple a day will keep the Doctor away but I bet it's really: A banana a day will keep the PAIN away, ha ha ha !!! Hope so!

Hi. xbrendax. I have never heard of this name being called this term before. When I was pregnant, I used to get the muscle spasms in my thigh. It would hurt like crazy. I got leg cramps so badly until it was not funny. It was due to my over expanded belly pushing down upon my uterus. It was so awful though. I hope that you will feel so much more better after a while.

What I hate is when they strike in the dream. I've had that. In the dream I'll be walking and step down then massive pain. I wake up from it thinking thank gods it's just a dream and in that same instant realize it's not. I get them usually in my calfs not thighs but it makes me want to scream in agony. Trying to rub them out and get it down to a managable throbbing is not always easy and of course to get like the bengay (or similiar) you have to walk. Yeah right easier said then done. Even once you have them where it's not so bad you know that moving the wrong way can cause it to come screaming back. Charlie Horses are evil things.

I have had the painful charlie horse wake me up from sleep before. Usually, while trying to get the one leg right, the other leg will cramp up. I usually try to walk it off, sometimes it goes away fast, other times it wants to linger and annoy me. Thank God, it hasn't happened in a while.
