Okay, so I hear they're going to be putting doctors in some walmarts in the near future. Not sure if that's true or not, but I was posting somewhere else about wireless internet and how awesome it would be if walmart had it, then realized that walmart really could become it's own society. Before you know it, you really can live in there without ever leaving. As long as you have money to pay for what you want, why the heck leave?
Can you brainstorm with me on this? What else would we need to make "Walmart Communities"? *grin* We could pay rent and just live in little huts outside in the parking lot...

OMIG. Now it will be even harder to find parking. lol
There is a true story of a pregnant girl that lived in Walmart. It was made into a movie a few years ago. So I guess it is possible to live in Walmart.
All you would need are those little cubbies that they have in Tokyo and you would be set. We'd all just be stacked one on top of the other.
There could be a common area to watch TV and the tv and sofa's could be sold as used.
I think you maybe on to something here.

ROLF!!! YES YES YES - I love the cubby hole idea! We'd all be stacked up to the ceiling and they could use those floor forklifts to get us down in the mornings *laugh*...For those with RV's they can build a fort of sorts around the parking lot - those who didn't live there would have to pay an extra fee to get the "special services" of the walmart *grin* - kinda like circling up the wagons on the oregon trail type thing. And then we all work, eat, sleep in Walmart!
I remember that movie and I own it!! I loved it..."Americas and Forny" I think it was forny...or was it thorny? Anyway, I loved that movie!

People already park their RV's at some Wal Mart stores. I have heard of homeless people hanging out in them. Let's see--Wal Mart does have wireless, it is just secure, not public access. They would need a carwash at their TLE, and a daycare. Oh, and a Vet clinic, I will leave some ideas for others. Cannot resist adding, Library.

*laugh* Oh, but get this - I worked at Walmart this summer before going to graduate school, and I worked in the toy section. We were told that we were babysitters of sorts, because when people come in, they just let their kids run wild in the toy section while they shop. So right there is your free daycare - Wal-mart will take care of it for you! *grin*
And I bet it won't be long before they DO get pet grooming...I mean, petco and petsmart are doign it now...why not walmart?
Okay - We could take care of the carwash as you're coming out of the tire center - when you get your oil changed, automatic jets come on as the employess are pulling their carsd out *grin*. The library part could possibly be taken care of with the book section...
Keep on coming with this - this is great!! Before you know it, we'll have plans drawn up *grin*...
