what are the advantages and disadvantages of laptop compare to desktop?

Im using a laptop here at the office and i wonder which is more wise to use? Before we used to have desktop but they've changed it to laptop instead because the company use linux program and it is very hard to use it twisted my mind and my bones at the same time. So what are the advantages and diadvantages of laptop?
