i have not had bread from all countries, but of the ones I HAVE had, I like the Italian Bread at Wal-Mart, so I am assuming it's an American bread mocking that of Italy. I also like Indian bread... I forgot what it's called... but it's quite thin and sometimes has chunks of other food in it, like onions, eggs, or spinach... YUM! Only $3 at the local Tandoori restaurant.

You mean Naan bread!
Naan bread is an amazingly hard thing to pull off if you try to bake it yourself. The dough is very soft, having yoghurt and ghee in it (ghee is clarified butter). Tastes amazing though. In Scotland you get a 'Mince Naan' which has minced beef in a layer on the inside of the Naan, in a spicy sauce. The perfect meal!

French bread is the best in the world, although not all of it is great. The main reason for this s the interference of the state in the natural economic ecosystem of the country. For example every village over a certain size has, by law, to have an artisan baker.
This means that wherever you are in areas like Brittany you are never more than 20 minutes from freshly baked, enjoyable bread. Sliced loaves are pretty much absent.
I love it there.

I like the baguettes from france because the crust is so much nicer than the crust on normal loaves
