At what age did you or will you have your first child? Why did you wait or not wait? I was 27 when I had my baby. I think that was a great age for me. I was old enough to have saved up some money and had some time to myself. I was able to do some traveling and also finish up my studies.
What about you? How old were you? Or how old do you want to be when you have your first baby?

I was 20 when I had my daughter and I think it was a perfect age due to my husband being a few years older then me. It def brought me and my mother closer since i have a baby sister who is a year old now. My mother and I are the best of friends and never used to get along as much as we do now!! I think having a baby at 20 was the best thing for me!!

well on my 18th birthday i was so excited to finally go out and buy a carton of ciggerettes. i also had to buy a pregnacy test. i did both, i waited all night for my boyfriend to come home from work so we could take the test together, well i was i handed my butts over to him and i was done. so i found out on my 18th birthday, which wasnt a bad thing, i was "an adult" i was out of school and i had a job at that time. my boyfriend and i were already getting an apartment together. we didtn have lots saved and whatnot but we had enough to get by

I had just turned 19 when my son was born. I got pregnant right around his first birthday with our second child, a girl. she was born 5 days before my 21st birthday. I felt this was the perfect time for me. I was out of school and into partying a lot. To much actually. I didnt want to go to college, still dont actually. I just want to raise my children, watch them grow. I love being a mother. It is the best thing in the world. Maybe after they are both in school I might go back. Who knows. My fiance and I have been together for 5 years, he is 10 years older then me, so it was a good time for us. He doesnt want to be in his late 40's with a 5 year old or a young child. He wants to be able to watch them grow and be able to be active with them. Do all the outside activities and not worry about hurting the next day. My children were my blessing. I believe that they saved my life and my relationship with a great man who was about ready to move on because of my bad decisions.

I was 20 with my first. It was earlier than I imagined, but I had a lot of fertility problems, so it worked out for the best.

I was 18 when I got married. I always loved kids.....babysat since the age of 11. We dicided to wait till we had been married to have kids. Mother nature didn't agee. I was 26 and still not pregnant. We adopted a 6 month old boy. The next month I got preganant. He had to live with us for at least 6 months before the adoption was final. So he became legally ours on April 7 and I gave birth to twins on May 8. Was I blessed or what?

i will probably have a baby around 25 years old. i have heard it's a really good age to have a baby and i would have spent a good quanity of my life making a life for me and saving up some money so i can make a great life for my baby. i think that it's great that you did as i want to do.

I just turned 29, and will be having my first baby in June. I wanted to wait, until I knew for sure that I would be able to take care of a child. I am in college yet, I took WAY to much time off years ago lol. But I do think I am responceable enough, have a great loving husband who will be a great dad, and we are fine financially. Keep our fingers crossed, hope we are good parents!

I'm sure you will be great parents. It sounds like you are very responsible. I know you can never be fully ready, but it seems like you have your stuff together. good luck!

I was 23 about to turn 24. I think that no one is truly ready have a baby until it comes and then you have to get ready. I read many books on babies and so forth during my pregnancy and although much of the information was helpful, I was not ready until I held that precious being in my arms. Everything from that moment on. We are TTC #2, 5 years later and again we will have to get ready for the change going from one child to 2.

I know what you mean about reading all the books and not being truly ready until you see the baby for the first. I don't think I know everything about babies, but it is amazing how much we just figure out and go with our instincts. good luck with #2

Let's see.....I got married at 27.
Had baby #1 at 28.
Had baby #2 at 29.
Had baby #3 at 30.....thought i was finished.....
Had baby #4 at 35!
Thank goodness we are comfortable enough and had had ample time to prepare for the world of diapers, formula, baby toys, strollers, car seats, cribs, education.

i was 23 years old when i had my first baby.i got pregnant to my boyfriend and now he's my husband.my husband is 5 years older than me so he has his savings for us.but for me i got no savings yet i am just starting.eventhough i got married and had my first baby at an early age i still do some traits of being a single woman.my husband doesn't avoid me to do some things but i should have my self limitations.

I had my first child at the age of just over 25, my birthday is sept and my eldest daughter was born in the nov. I then had to wait nine years for the next one and then almost two years after him for my twins to come.
I love having four children and sometimes wish I had had five children

I don't have children and I don't ever plan to.
But if I were interested in having children, I think I'd want to be married for at least 2 years before having my first child, or else have it when I'm around 28 years old.
