Luther was such a wonderful artist. His signature voice has wooed many a woman and some men. Many speak of his lost love but whatever his motivation was. He became a staple in the art of music worldwide. The was not an occurance in a person's life that Luther did not have a song for. My most precious tune of his was adapted in his later recordings. I had always fancied never too much and creep but when my father passed away and I watched my mom slowly drift away I quickly adopted dance with my father. God Bless the mother of Luther Vandross for bringing to us a man that touched so many hearts. Did you know that the young man that backed him up for 17 years til the time he died is the same Kevin that sings with Ray,Goodman and Brown formerly known as the moments.

He was truly a living legend, I love most of his music may favourite slow songs are secret love, one night with you.
But I feel the epitomy is definitely Dance with my father. The first time I heard this was on my firt trip to the united states what a wonderful greeting to hear the fantastic smooth and sensual voice of luther singing Dance with my father. I was in my brothers car driving up to New york. We both looked at each other and smiled. I had not seen my brother for seven years. My dad had been passed for nine years,it will always bring tears to my eyes, as a very precious lyric for any body who has lost somebody close who would love just the one more look, kiss or dance with the person they miss the most.
Luther's anniversary is coming up, which also happens to be my son's birthday. I will say a prayer that he is singing for us all in God's choir of angels.
