It could be worth some extra money for you. My husband and I and our oldest son all got new cell phones for Christmas and since I did not want to just throw them out I started looking online for an answer to getting rid of these phones. I found a site that you can go to and see if your old phone is worth anything, if it is you sign up and they will send you a box to send your phone back to them in. They keep in touch with you every step of the way. They emailed me when they got my phone and then after they tested it as it does have to work for them to pay you for it. I got another email when they sent my check. It is not much money but every little bit helps and I was just going to throw it away anyhow. I have a referral code but don't know if it will work without the box that they sent to me, if you would like you could try it anyways. Here is the information to find out how to get rid of those old phones.
www.CellForCash.net
My referral code is 236390 If this code does not work for you that is ok or if you prefer not to use it that is fine also. You can also email them if you have any questions at customerservice@cellforcash.com or you can call them at 1-800-503-8026
I hope that somebody finds this as usefull as I did. I hate the thought of all these phones just being thrown out and not disposed of properly.

Thank you so much! I have a ton of sell phones - about 5 - that I wanted to sell after donating some to goodwill. So this site helps greatly.

That's for sure. Now I'm just waiting for my box to arrive :) Thanks again. I've also bookmarked the site (using your code) so other people in my family can use it as I know they have phones they don't use as well.

Thank you very much and when you get your boxes you should also get your own code which will help you also. They will also send you an extra box that you can give to a friend too.

this has been helpful to me. i have a cell phone that is old and i've had it for a year and 1/2 just lying in the box. so i'll check it out and see if it's worth anything. thanks for sharing this information. also do you have to have the charger for them to pay you? i don't have a charger for it. i don't know what happened to it exactly but it's not here.

No actually they prefer that you do not send anything but the phone.

It's odd but I just never thought of finding something to do with our old cell phones besides the trash or the toy box for the kids or even just donating them to the Goodwill or some other thrift store. Now I think its odd that it never occurred to me. I really must start thinking of recycling more. Thank you for the info.

I will keep this in mind. We have been donating them to WAIC. they give them out to abused women to use.

LOL, I did that with my older ones and then decided that I would search to see if I could find some way of getting rid of them.

That site looks really helpful. Although my particular cell phone has no wholesale value anymore, I did find out that they also have a recycling program. Which I may just have to take them up on that offer.
I used your referral code. Not sure if you get anything for it, but I figured I would since you were kind enough to inform us about it.
Thanks a lot. :]

Yours is an awesome idea for the old cell phones. I didn't even know places would do that. Here's another one: go to www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com What they do is take old cell phones, working or not, and they recycle them. They then take the money and buy phone cards for the soldiers that are overseas, or just away from home on duty. That way they can keep in touch with their families. If anyone has a Liberty Income Tax Service nearby, take your phones to them and they will give you $20.00 off on your income tax return (ok...shameless plug since that's the company I work for. LOL) Hope you don't mind the extra info cw. I think we both have pretty darned good ideas. ;)

I really like yours too. I don't like throwing them away thank you so much for this site. I still have one that was to old for my company to buy so I will see if your site would like to take my last one. Thank you for adding this here.
