I do believe hen and rooster came first simulaneously. According to Genesis 1:21-22"...be fruiful and multiply...let fowl multiply on the earth."
I don't think that God will command eggs to go and multiply.

no god wont say to multiply...the genesis said tat ...be friutful ant multiply...then his all creations should multiply....but all are not multiplying in such quantity..

hen,god made hen first and after that hen bears eggs and hen develop.
