Hi. I do see in most of the computer programs and sites that they give us an option to select English (UK) or English (US) in languages option. But I don't know really what is the difference in these two. Can somebody help me out.

I have learned that there is not that much of difference between the two except some minor spelling and pronunciation. They both mean the same thing. Both of them can be used. I don't know whether UK English is Older or else. Thanks for explaining. Good Luck.

So nice of you for letting me know. Ya there is just a slight difference and it doesn't matter at all.

There's not much of a difference between the two except for some minor things like spelling, pronunciation etc. For example as per UK English you call a building that houses a number of families as FLAT and the same is called as an APARTMENT in US English. Its "cheque" in UK and "check" in US. For US English the letter "Z" is mostly used in place of "S" - realisation (UK), realization (US). If u r good in English it'll not be a problem whether you choose US or UK English.

They have a different spelling and pronounciation. Words can be different too. That's what I've heard. I am not in the position to answer this accurately since I am not from these countries. I live in the Philippines in Asia.

You are correct that they only have different spellings and pronunciation. Some words are different too. I have cleared my doubts now. And FYI I too am an Asian (Indian).

The differnce between them is accents differnce. The way of british english speaking is quite different from the way of american spoken english. According to me american english is better then british one.

Ya friend. My views have got cleared now. There is not much of a difference between these two except some minor things like Z is pronounced as S in English(Uk). Realization (US): Realisation (UK).
