Cash or Kind

Which is the best one to give it as Gift.

During weddings, I prefer to give cash or gift certificate because there is a tendency that gifts will be duplicated as what I have observed. However, if it's a friend's birthday I prefer to give something that he/she really likes.

Definately kind for me because kind stays til the end of a person's life but cash does not.
