Static-X is an Industrial Metal band from Los Angeles. It was formed in 1994 from the ashes of Wayne Static and Ken Jay's former band, Deep Blue Dream. Static and Jay began searching for members for the new band in Chicago, but after useless search they decided to head to Los Angeles to continue their search. There they met bassist Tony Campos and guitarist Koichi Fukuda, completing the band's original lineup.
Static-X has a unique sound that I like a lot especially the way Wayne Static sings, he has this really cool and awesome voice.
The band had already released 5 albums wherein some of the songs were used on a lot of movie soundtracks and video game soundtracks. They are due to release their 7th album entitled "Cannibal" I just can't wait for that!!!

I got their new album, and it totally effing wrocks. One of their best ones yet. I'm also glad they're turning a bit away from alternative, and have delved into the genre of metal. It brings out their vocals, styles, and their talent ten-fold.
They never cease to amaze me.

I really liked their first three albums, but somewhere along the way, the spark went out. I'll still listen to them, but I won't go out of my way to buy an album. Sadly, this is the way it has gone for many a good band.
