who invented CIRCUMCISION?

It has been around since the ancient times. The Bible mentioned it as ne of the way to distinguish between Christ's people. Remember the Gentiles? I think they are those people that aren't circumcized or something. So as for who 'invented' it, God ordered His people to do so. So you get the idea. =)

The Jews.
It was a sign of commitment to God and his commandments. It separated them from the other nations who worshiped idols and other gods.
I am assuming God commanded them to do this because the foreskin was useless and taking it off is actually healthier than leaving it on. I also believe that since men were in charge that it was taken off to represent a mark on the males manhood. What makes a man different than a woman is his genitals, and making a mark on them makes sense.
