Are you talking to yourself? or is the person really listening?

Ever have one of those days where you feel that no matter who you are talking to, it still feels as if you are just talking to yourself or to the wall behind the person?
I don't have enough fingers or toes to count the many times this has happened to me. Today being one of those days. It seemed like they were listening, but yet it seemed as if they were staring off into space. Has anyone done this to you?

These days I get a little humor out of it, but it still gets a little annoying when it starts to feel that I am just wasting air. lol And thanks I am here for you to if ever you need someone to talk to.

I have a friend who has a habit of letting his eyes wander around while I talk to him and sometimes I feel I might as well talk to the wall. It's not that he doesn't pay attention, when asked if he understood what I said, he will answer yes of course! But if I ever I talk to someone who is not listening at all, I'll stop talking. And by the way do you notice the similarity here in mylot. you are posting to the moon, nobody seems to notice your posting. lol

LOL Boy you sure have hit that one right on the head. I do get the feeling sometimes here on Mylot. Have several discussion yet many with no responses so I have come to the point where I am talking to myself yet again...lol That's ok I should be use to it..lol
Some people have a hard time with having eye contact with the individual with which is speaking to them, but I don't have a problem with people whose eyes are wandering around. It's the people who go off on their own adventure while you are speaking to them, than when you ask them something they are like "Huh what? of course I was listening" that really gets me thinking I am talking to myself. Gets annoying, when I give people my full attention, and they don't give me the courtesy to do the same thing.
