Let's say it's getting close to time to pay your rent, and you're running short for whatever reason, what takes priority? Would you cut expenses like Cable TV, Beer, Cigarettes, and the like? Or do you just pay rent late?

Generally one month's anticipated expenditure amount is already paid in advance to my wife to manage the whole thing. Beyond that if any expenses are there, I draw from credit card and pay through credit card.

As Landlord of a few properties, all of which have mortgages, I certainly appreciate that line of thinking. Too many times I have to collect rent from people with different priorities than yours! I think some people just don't care that I have to pay the mortgage payment on time. I'm hoping to get a little insight into this mentality. Thanks for responding.
