Do people ever call you by the wrong name?

my name is Lulita, but some people that i introduce my self, they cant catch properly for what i say. they always hear : yulita/lolita hehehehe....

I've gotten Heathen and Heifer before.. but somehow I think it was deliberate. :b

no..but i often mishear my name..because my real name is suzette and one time i misheard it from lizette..too close!lol

once a crazychap tried to call me by a diffrent name not even any where near to my name. i got to frustrated that i told him that if u call be by that name and not my name then i would call him a pig. she got embarresed and left

Its my last name that really gets them its Howe and I get calls and they say Miss Howie lol or here is a Good one I always get Miss HO ROTFL I have to tell them it rymes with cow, chow, plow by that time they hang up :D

ya it happens often with me.In my school the teachers pronounced my name incorrectly and now i am in a college and i am facing the same problem again.But i suppose its better to correct people instantly when they call u by the wrong name.I do it all the time haha

yes I have a couple of times and people have said that I must have a double,bit scary ....

When i was five years old and on a seesaw, my father hit me on the head with a board. I did not become mentally off or lose my intelligence, but among other things it has affected my ability to remember names. I may very well know someone and yet not remember their name. If I do not know someone's name then I avoid calling them by name.

People for some reason always call me by the wrong name. My name is melissa, and I am constantly being called Melanie or Michelle, In fact, when I worked at Walmart, a fellow associate would look right at my name badge and say "Hi Michelle!" and I would say "HI!" I just let it go, and then one day, he finally came to me and said "Michelle, is your name melissa?" and I said, Yes, it has been my whole life!, he felt bad.. I don't know why people do that though. (:

I was always called by my sisters' names when I was little. At school people always called me by my older sister's name. Anywhere else, I had about a 50% chance of getting called by my little sister's name. Her name is Darla, mine is Carla. They are easy to confuse I suppose. Plus it didn't help much that we are only 2.5 years apart and we were the same size by the time she was in 1st grade. Everyone always thought we were twins. Even my mom can't tell us apart sometimes in pictures of us individually from when we were little. So it never bothered me. What bothered me was when people would mispronounce my maiden name. It's Turnbull. Yeah, it's not that common, but come on, it's pronounced just like it looks. I would get people on the phone that would say stuff like Trumble! I had a professor in college that called me Miss Trunabell. It drove me crazy. I corrected him every day for two months and then just gave up.

My name is Cami. Almost everytime someone who doesn't know me hears this they call me Tammy, Connie or Candy. It's frustrating. But I know it has been an unusual name for quite some time. It is now becoming more popular.

I have been called by the wrong name before. Sometimes people will call me melissa (my name is michelle). Funny thing is, I work with a Melissa, and people will mix up our names sometimes. The same thing has happened to her before we worked together as well. funny!
