Why, not getting responses after 1 day?

Hi as all we knew, we are posting quality discussions.. and we are getting responses for the 1st day. however from the next day onwards, the responses are decreasing.. why is that happening.. and how to avoid this.. is that the discussions are not visible to the user from the next day?

This happens a lot and nobody seems to have a good explanation. But it shouldn't stop us from posting, keep on but at the same time let's focus too in answering discussions.

Since the discussions are constantly starting here in myLot it would be dificult for one discussions to remain active for a long period of time, unless is posted on the first page of myLot... and even there it won't resist very long... The secret is to keep your discussion active by replying back to the responses you receive to your discussion.

what chances it will make if i reply back to the discussions.. im not seeing any improvement.. is there a particular way in replying back.
