I think Antivirus programme should be embedded in operating system.the need of antivirus is only due to lackings in OS.One time installation of OS and continue updation may solve this antivirus problem.actually i have read somewhere that it is antivirus companies who create may viruses.

We need antivirus because our system will be proned to viruses and worms if this was failed to be installed in our machine. As we all know that these viruses can definitely destroy your computer and making it useless to use, we therefore need to install an antivirus software for our security purposes. Of course, we have to regularly update our antivirus so that it will have the latest list of viruses at the present time. Antivirus alone is not enough to totally secure your machine. Windows firewall should always be turned ON because this is also a vital component to help protect your computer against this malware that is present on the internet.
Hope this would help.
Have a great day!

But what about the necessity of extra software. Why dont OS do all that.I am in favour of this due to some of reasons:-
1.As we are continuously updating the OS.Also window release hotfix just after some days of getting any threats.so there no need to furry.Overall they are programmes and may be handled by OS.
2.What antivirus can do is to detect virsus programmes and stop them at the initial level.i think this is why you are against it.But the same job can be done by OS an the initial stage by understanding the type of extension or unknown files.
3.And the last one is would you confirm me that any antivirus can stop the treat as soon as it happen.I dont think so then why need to make extra expense for antivirus.I think the future of operating system will in favour of mine.
Overall window have solved a large number of problems in the past regarding softwere.

I have never heard this one, but I have heard that some ISP's like MSN, and Comcast.net for example are 2 of the easiest ISP's to get a virus with unless you have good virus protection. I think they need to make it easier to be able to have, and somehow make it easier to protect your Computer for harmful virus's. If the FREE Email sites like Yahoo have Virus protection, then why cannot the services we so much pay for?

Anti-virus software is a vital component of modern PC life. Below we debunk some of the myths that people use as excuses for not having any anti-virus software installed.
I only use my PC for work Even if you only use your computer for writing documents and printing and never go online it is still easy to get a virus.

I don't think anti virus should be integrated on my OS .. using thirdparty anti virus is OK .. there is no problem @ all ...
the most important is ... we gradually update our anti virus data base n the enggine of anti virus it self ... so we can get the newest protection from the antivirus vendor ...
about antivirus companies who create some virus .. mmmm .. I have no comment about it ... ^^ ... it makes sence for me .. to make their product on a good seller rate ... but ...

Antivirus software is only need for those that run windows operating systems. Eventhough they make the software for Mac its not needed, in over 15 years of being online I have never got a virus.
The virus is not made by the companies it is made mostly by wannabee hackers and 99.99999% of them only infect windows.
Now dont take that statement wrong about hackers as there are different kinds of hackers, some think they have a good cause and others are just wannabee's.
Bottom line is Windows needs Antivirus Software because the system is not stable enough to handle anything. It does not come with the software because the microsoft does not want to pay the license fee to have it included in the system. Microsoft much rather you spend $80 - $300 on software to protect their unstable system.
