I had leanrt in school that honesty is the best policy. But in today's world is it really practical, feasible to be honest without having to face problems? I mean if you told your boss that you got up late, or were stuck in traffic will he be sympathetic to your cause or will he fire you? but if you told a tragic or sad tale may be he might believe it.

I'm honest most of the time.I dont like to lie and am not used to doing it.But there's just some circumstances that you cant help but lie to save your self or perhaps to prevent hurting someone.
