I have done so many pencil sketches, but I have done only one oil painting. That is the eternal mona lisa. But, I won't rate my version of mona lisa that great. Still that was my maiden venture. So, I did not use the standard techniques. Maybe I will learn to, some day.

I have a bunch or art supplies that I never seem to have time to use, too. I don't have kids, but I work a lot and like to spend time with my boyfriend when we are both off. Oil painting is so much more time consuming because of all the prep and clean up involved, it is hard for me to get started. Picking up a drawing pad is so much quicker, even though I enjoy painting more.

It is frustrating to not be able to create when you have a family. I had three kids while I was a High School art teacher, and try as I might there was never time to do art. It was not until I was about sixty years old, the kids were gone and I retired. Now I am finding that this is the best time in life. I paint every day. I guess you have to wait, knowing that some day you will have the time.

It's very simple when there is a will there is a wish. I generally spend 5 hours in office 2 hours in sketching and 3 hours on computer that's my daily schedule and it can't be changed . When there is a topic in my mind i write it down as soon as possible .
