Shirin means sweet in Persian but it is a mythical name for a beatiful and beloved woman...as Shirin was queen of Persia (khosro Parviz's wife) and there are many myths about her beauty and men whom were in love with her... "khosro & Shirin" also "Shirin & Farhad" are two myths and masterpieces in Persian literature.
